The Newmarket Charitable Foundation (NCF) is pleased to announce the appointment of two new trustees to its board: Giles Dobson and Tom Norton. Both appointments bring significant professional expertise and strategic experience that will strengthen the Foundation’s work and long-term ambitions for the Newmarket community.
Giles Dobson
Giles brings more than 25 years of experience advising private landed estate-owning families on long-term planning, succession strategy, diversification and development. He spent 25 years at Bidwells in Cambridge, leading the Rural team across the UK for the final eight years of his tenure. He is now an independent consultant working with private landowning clients nationwide. Giles is known for his personalised, hands-on approach and the long-term trusted relationships he builds with clients.
Tom Norton
Tom is a Partner in the Client and Product Solutions group at Apollo Global Management, where he leads the European Global Family Office team working with family office, charity, endowment and foundation clients across EMEA. Prior to joining Apollo in 2011, he held senior roles at the Royal Bank of Canada and Merrill Lynch in London and ran a consultancy focused on Asia-Pacific business development. Tom holds a BA (Hons) from the University of Newcastle-upon-Tyne.
