Newmarket Charitable Foundation recently presented Little Buds Pre School with a grant of £1,000.
Little Buds Pre School is based on Studlands Park, Newmarket and has been established from almost 30 years. It operates as a voluntary committee-run organisation with charitable status and is registered with Ofsted to offer children high quality education working towards the Early Learning Goals. The Pre School is also a member of the Early Years Alliance and belong to the Suffolk Childcare Plan.
They requested a donation of £1000 from Newmarket Charitable Foundation to help resurface their playground. Trustee, Megan Whitton explains why the request was needed: “We are delighted by the generous donation from the Newmarket Charitable Foundation; we desperately needed our playground to be resurfaced as it has become cracked over the years and is now a hazard to the children and unfortunately, if it has been raining, the playground becomes too slippery for the children to play outside. This contribution has made it possible to arrange for resurfacing to take place over the summer – in time for the Autumn term.”
Kerry Cowling, Sally George and Sandra Smith were on hand to accept the donation along with Newmarket Charitable Foundation Director, Dave Hall.
