Support for Cheveley Warm Hub

Cheveley Parish Hall receive donation for warm hub

Cheveley Village Hall was awarded £200 by Newmarket Charitable Foundation to market and run their Warm Hub initiative this winter.

Cllr Phil Nutt and volunteer for the Parish Hall said: “A group of volunteers have been running a Warm Hub at the Cheveley Parish Hall on Monday mornings throughout the winter. The volunteers want to reach people who will benefit from using the Warm Hub, and so they approached the Newmarket Charitable Foundation (NCF) for a grant.

By providing a Warm Hub in Cheveley and hopefully an ongoing Community Café, the volunteers aim to establish a venue where people can regularly come to meet, chat, have a cuppa and be warm.”

The Newmarket Charitable Foundation grant will be used to identify and contact potential Warm Hub users, to understand what best suits the needs of potential users. This will allow the volunteers to arrange days, times and items such as transport and activities to attract as many users as possible and ensure the most benefit.”
