What a week at Newmarket Academy!

Recently, we had the privilege of helping organise a careers festival for Year 9 pupils at Newmarket Academy.

Young people from our community got to visit and learn from some brilliant local organisations: Caps Cases Ltd, Unisurge International Limited, Suffolk Constabulary, Godolphin, Heath Court Hotel, The Jockey Club, British Racing School, Colourbox Montessori School and Turners Soham.

For many of these pupils, it was their first real glimpse into the world of work on their doorstep. The conversations, the questions, the lightbulb moments — that’s exactly why this work matters.

At the Newmarket Charitable Foundation, supporting young people to make informed decisions about their futures is central to what we do. Events like this directly support progress towards the Gatsby Benchmarks the Academy are working towards and give pupils the tools they need to navigate their next steps with confidence.
