Newmarket’s outdoor spaces are set to become even more active thanks to a new outdoor gym installation planned for Summer 2025 at The Severals, near to the Clock Tower.
Backed by a £20,000 grant from AVIVA, and to be installed by Sunshine Gym, this new outdoor facility will offer residents and visitors of all ages free access to high-quality fitness equipment in a welcoming, open-air setting.
The gym will be located in a prominent position on The Severals making it a highly accessible spot for the local community.
The project has been driven by Newmarket Charitable Foundation, which successfully secured funding and is currently overseeing the installation tender process.
The equipment will be free to access and is intended to be able to be used by the whole community. It marks an important step forward in Newmarket’s commitment to community wellbeing and public health.
