Youth Provision Assembly: Working Together for Newmarket’s Young People

Newmarket Charitable Foundation (NCF) was delighted to host the first Youth Provision Assembly at the Memorial Hall, welcoming around 30 representatives from organisations supporting young people in and around the town.

The Assembly had two clear objectives:

      • To introduce NCF and share news of our new Youth Hub opening soon at The Severals Pavilion.

      • To bring providers together, offering the chance to network, share information, and explore partnership opportunities – all with the aim of improving opportunities for young people in Newmarket.

The new Hub is being developed as a welcoming space where young people can:

        • Visit in their own time and enjoy a safe environment

        • Take part in activities and sports

        • Spend time with peers

        • Access guidance and support

Importantly, The Hub will also serve as a central signposting point, connecting young people to the many existing organisations and opportunities already available locally.

Feedback from the Assembly was extremely positive, with participants recognising the value of collaboration and expressing strong support for this initiative.

      Next steps

      Following the Assembly, NCF will:

          • Develop a programme of events and activities at the Hub

          • Share information about the different services and opportunities available to young people locally

          • Continue to build strong partnerships between providers for the benefit of Newmarket’s young people

We look forward to updating stakeholders as this work develops and to opening the doors of the new Hub in the weeks ahead. For further information, please contact our Youth Worker, Viny on [email protected] or Makeda, project support at [email protected], who will be running and managing The Hub.
