The Newmarket Charitable Foundation announces that Sarah Howard is stepping down as Chair of the Board of Trustees at the end of her term this month. Sarah’s leadership has been instrumental in driving the Foundation’s mission to support the local community and enhance opportunities for residents through meaningful charitable initiatives.
During her tenure, Sarah played a pivotal role in the Foundation’s creation and subsequent successes, including opening Newmarket’s first cinema after a 50-year absence, introducing Career’s events for 1000’s of young people in Newmarket and developing a pipeline of projects to support Newmarket’s Town Centre. Her vision, dedication, and commitment have strengthened the Charity’s impact and laid a strong foundation for its future endeavours.
Reflecting on her time as Chair, Sarah Howard said: “It has been a privilege to serve as Chair of the Newmarket Charitable Foundation. I am immensely proud of what we have achieved together, and I am deeply grateful to my fellow trustees, our funders, and the community for their unwavering support – it has truly been a team effort. The Foundation’s work is vital, and I look forward to seeing it continue to grow and thrive.”
