Newmarket Charitable Foundation is proud to support the Newmarket Pony Academy – a pioneering initiative developed by the British Racing School that uses horses and ponies to build confidence, wellbeing, and aspiration among young people. The Academy works with local schools and community groups to offer equine-assisted learning programmes that help participants develop trust, teamwork, and resilience in a unique and nurturing environment.
As a founding partner, the Foundation played a key role in bringing the project to life – from supporting early pilot sessions to helping establish long-term delivery across the academic year. With a particular focus on pupils who may be struggling with mainstream education, the Pony Academy is making a lasting difference to the lives of young people in and around Newmarket, while also opening doors to future opportunities within the horseracing and equine industries.
